Sky Professionals is active in the aviation industry. We provide flight safety training for flight crew and cabin crew and we accommodate flight attendants for corporate and private aviation. Sky Professionals must comply with aviation safety rules as laid down in EASA regulations (European Aviation Safety Agency).

Sky Professionals processes your personal data for the following purposes:
For service purposes such as contacting you and replying to your requests via our contact form, e-mail or telephone;
Because you use our services and/or deliver your services to Sky Professionals and/or because you are contracted by Sky Professionals. We use your personal data to facilitate;
For marketing and customer relation purposes; sending newsletters, personalised quotations and information and/or service messages;
For development and analysis purposes to further develop and improve our websites, for statistic analysis and market research;
To prevent fraud and data breaches;
To comply with Dutch law including Dutch tax legislation which implies administrative duties.

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process:
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years, unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we are unable to verify if a visitor is older than 16 years. We encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent use of children’s personal data without parental consent. If you suspect any misuse of children’s personal data without parental consent, please contact y.hendrikx@skyprofessionals.com and we will delete this information.

 Sky Professionals processes your personal data based on the following legal bases:
The processing of personal data is necessary for the execution of an agreement. This category applies for (prospect) customers and/or trainees of Sky Professionals. The purpose of processing is providing quotations and delivering services via mail and telephone.
We also process customer’s payment details. We inform our customers about any changes of our services and keep them informed via newsletters and/or e-mail about any relevant matters that might be of any interests. You can unsubscribe from newsletters.

We process data of our trainees for the execution of the training, mandatory security checks (identification) and registration for access control to training facilities, for CCTO certification and training records. 
The processing of your personal data is also used to represent the legitimate interests of Sky Professionals. For example, we monitor our website visitor’s behaviour in order to improve our website and services.

 Sharing personal data with third parties:
Sky Professionals will not share your personal data with third parties and will only provide information if necessary for execution of an agreement or to comply with a legal obligation.  For deployment of our corporate flight attendants it is necessary to share personal data with customers worldwide. Therefore, we cannot prevent data being shared outside the EU region. We limit the amount of personal data we share with third parties and we strongly urge the receiver to use adequate protection for the data they receive.

To ensure the security and confidentiality of your data we conclude a processing agreement when your data is being shared with third parties due to an assignment. Sky Professionals remains responsible for these processes.

For processing data Sky Professionals uses the following computer programs/tools:

MS office tools (a.o. MS Outlook)

Automated decision-making:
Sky Professionals does not decide on the basis of automated processing operations on matters that can have (significant) consequences for people. This concerns decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without involving a person (for example, a Sky Professionals employee).

How long we store personal data:
Sky Professionals does not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to realize the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data:

  • Category CV’s, resumes / Retention period: 4 weeks after recruitment procedure or 6 months after recruitment procedure when agreed by applicant / Reason: 6 months on hold for customers
  • Category third parties: Personal data trainees (NAW) / Retention period: deleted the month after executing training / reason: identification purpose access SPL-East
  • Category customers: training records trainees /  Retention period: 5 years / reason: compliant with EASA regulation
  • Category Instructor files CCTO / Retention period: 3 years after termination employment Sky Professionals / reason: compliant with  OM 1.7.1, NL-CCTO-603
  • Category Staff member files CCTO / Retention period: 3 years after termination employment Sky Professionals / reason: compliant with OM 1.7.1, NL-CCTO-603
  • Category student files and training records CCTO / Retention period: indefinitly / reason: compliant with OM 1.7.1, NL-CCTO-603
  • Category customer data / Retention period: 7 years after determination of the agreement / Reason: fiscal retention obligation by law. However, 2 years after determination of the agreement non relevant data will be removed.

Sky Professionals takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for cancellation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to y.hendrikx@skyprofessionals.com.

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We respond as quickly as possible, but within four weeks, at your request.
